When you’re in the position of being a client/customer, do you enjoy being thanked for your business?
Is it important to you? Let’s face it; you can have the best product/service in the world and it doesn’t really matter unless you have clients. And since we know people buy from people they know, like and trust, building rapport with clients is crucial to your success. Building long-term client relationships is the foundation for your business.

This week’s Savvy Sales Tip: Building long-term client relationships by showing specific appreciation.
Recognize your clients and the contributions that they’re making to you and your business. Take the time to give specific feedback, specific appreciation to those clients for what they have done for you. People like to be recognized. People appreciate when you give them something specific with your “thank you”. A great example is saying, “I want to thank you. I really appreciate the way you take the time to do X,Y and Z.” Showing specific appreciation helps build client relationships.
Client relationships are easier to build when you show specific appreciation for the things they do for you and your business.
Easy enough, right? This week I would challenge you to reach out to a few of your clients and just recognize them for the positivity they bring to your business. It will make them feel wonderful and help build that rapport that is required in building business.
